THEATRE school Frequently asked questions

all the small details

talk money to me?

Our Theatre School Sessions run termly. Each term costs £135 and we offer a 50% sibling discount to those with more than one child attending, and a 30% discount for further additional siblings. Should you join part way through a term, you will be charged proportionally to how many sessions are left.
All new students are offered one free trial before signing up for the sessions, you are charged proportionally after your free trial as to how many sessions are left of the term.

how does the free trial work?

All new attendees are offered a free trial class so they can come and see what the class is all about! There is no obligation to sign up after the trial if it’s not for them.
You can book a free trial class HERE.
The free trial is non transferrable and has no cash value. If you book a free trial but then can’t make it, please let us know as soon as you can. No shows may result in you being unable to book another free trial.

What does my child need to bring to the session?

Just themselves! We recommend comfy clothing and soft shoes (like trainers or P.E pumps) and a bottle of water.
Please refrain from bringing food sweets into the hall.
Occasionally during the term we give out equipment or scripts for students to use at home and it’s helpful if they can bring these back with them every week.

how do i find you?

You can follow the map and address on our Theatre School Location page, or you can visit Moorpool Hall’s Website for more information on how to find them and their facilities.

can i park?

There is lots of on street parking both on The Circle and surrounding residential streets.

WHAt’s your cancellation policy

Glad you asked! We are simple and transparent when it comes to cancellations as it helps to avoid any confusion.
We are a small, one woman show, and therefore unable to offer refunds on booked sessions - so please do take this into consideration when signing up to your class. If you miss a session, we are happy to offer a catch up session if appropriate/available, but we are unable to offer these across terms.

Once you have booked and secured your place in your chosen session, that place is yours and saved for your child. If you do not wish to continue with us for the following term that’s not a problem, but we do set a deadline of letting us know by half term (as a courtesy, we remind you with a half termly newsletter with all dates clearly shown). You can read more about this in our terms and conditions which we ask you to agree to prior to signing up.

HOW WILL COVID GUIDELINES AFFECT MY CLASS?

We are working really hard and our priority is to keep everyone safe whilst attending our classes. As well as completing a Covid secure first aid course, we have significantly reduced class sizes as mentioned above to ensure there is space for social distancing. We are following the guidelines closely and will implement the up-to-date guidance at the time of your class.
Where possible, we will be opening windows for extra ventilation and there will be hand sanitiser and wipes available.
We will not be including any hand holding or tactile teaching corrections and not using any sharing props or costume for the time being. Any equipment we do use will be sanitised before and after use and allocated to each child so things are not shared around.
Moorpool Hall are running a strict cleaning schedule before and after each use of the hall.

If there’s anything else you think we could or should be doing please let us know! We are very friendly and appreciate what a difficult time the pandemic has been for everyone and we are all just doing our best.
